I got this item at a garage sale recently. It looks like a cakeplate, but it's not like the usual ones I've seen. The ruffles on the edge go up, and the plate is more concave. It's 11" wide and 6.5" high.

I am not familiar with milkglass or how to distinguish the real from the faux. I held it up to the light in my apt. and don't see a bluish or pinkish tint. Does anyone have any info to impart on this piece?

    Thanks in advance.

yes, it is Fenton 'Hobnail' milk glass. Not sure what they called that shape; either a footed bowl or shallow compote.

Oh thank you so much. Any idea of the price range of what it's worth?

Milk glass doesn't typically go for much, check e-bay for the current value there is tons.
