The form of this superb bowl was designed by Josef Hoffmann, the decoration by Adolf Beckert. Reseda is a pale green ground, apparently named after the pale green flowers in a plant of the same name. Beckert designed a series of pieces in woodland/hunting themes for a Hunting Exhibition in that year. This decoration (with etched Loetz signature) was marketed, at least partly, in the French market, as evidenced by the orders from J. Jouve in Paris. Approximately 10 cm high by 16 cm wide.
Bravo! I like this bowl very much! Again an object where a designer (Beckert) has built on a form by another artist (Hoffmann).
Amazingly beautiful glass!!
