A neat real photo postcard of Viola Jeanne Chassels. She was on a radio program back in the early 1930's, (I do not know which one, there were sev eral that used here) where she sang country and western music. During the depression her show was cut back to Saturday only. The stars would send these to fans with personal notes on the back. If you asked for a "free picture" they would request about 10 to 25 cents or so, to cover the "cost" of the photo, most fans would send the quarter, a princely sum back in the early 30s, and they would get a RPPC postcard or picture.
