Found in the piedmont region of South Carolina. It was found among 20-25 other artifacts in a estimated 5 -10 square feet area. Including: Hammerstone, large spear point arrow making stone* (for lack of a definitive name), 2 Nutting stones, tomahawk, 3 lightweight gray colored colored colored colored chert arrowheads, and a few others, that I researched on the internet, that are given countless names and uses. I'll post these soon. The artifact I've posted has been worn smooth by water , but what is obvious is the sharpened edge on one entire side. Unfortunately, seeing it in person may be the only thing that will convince the naysayers. I've been collecting for over 39 years and have spent countless hours at shows and researching the internet. Here goes..
