Or is he an Alligator..? I think he might be! He was spotted in a charity shop recently and his lovely colours really stood out to me. There's an original price of '20 usd' on him, leading me to think he's an alligator and is a souvenir from the US? Maybe?! Has a very folksy art feel to him too...

"Color: Alligators are a darker, blackish-grey in color, while crocodiles are a lighter, olive green or brown color. Snout: Alligators have a wider, U-shaped snout, while crocodiles have a pointier, V-shaped snout."

Well I'm not sure if this guy could ever be considered dark, or indeed olive green or brown as he seems to have every colour of the rainbow except them on him, but thanks anyway dav2no1! :)

Lauren this is an absolutely beautiful gator or croc, the colors are so vivid and gorgeous! All that artistic detail makes me think Native American or Mexican. I really love it!

Thank you Jenni and I was thinking that too, he's got a very colourful Mexican or even Cuban vibe to him hasn't he?

The artwork reminds me of pens that I got in the 1990's. I wonder if it was meant to go over a pen.

Thanks PhilDMorris, but I think he's actually a good bit too large for a pen!
