William R. Leigh (1866-1955) Illustrator/Painter Original Artist Doodle

I have finally found out some information on this Ink Drawing by Artist W.R. Leigh. This appears to have been an artist doodle he created early in his career. The Signature is an early example of the way he signed his works. This one is Titled "Aromatic James" A dealer of spices in the late 1800's. William Leigh was an Illustrator early in his career and did work for Scribner's and Collier's. this is a fabulous example of the Arti's ability to capture true human character. I have been researching this item for months. The information i have obtained about this artist makes me feel like i knew him Personally. This is an unpublished doodle of the famous William Robinson Leigh. Just had to Share!
