I found these at a local thrift store. Two bowls, a candle holder, and a mug…all art pottery and signed.

I can’t read the signatures. Is buying pottery smart, or should I stick with items I know more about?

There is lots of pottery around, and anyone can take classes. People put their initials or sign it when it goes in for firing because firing is expensive so they have to do much more than one piece. Only smart if you intend to keep the piece for yourself.
