I have had this B & W brooch for close to 15 years from an estate. The pearls were not attached to the brooch (all were in a small bag). I attached the pearls and not quite sure they belong....I can't seem to find any photos or info regarding this brooch. It may have been a design from QVC. Any ideas?
Beautiful Butler & Wilson cherub brooch, and very creative adding the pearl dangles. Perfect for Valentine's Day!
Newfld, Do you know if the pearls were part of the original design? They were together with the brooch in a bag. There is a loop for a jump ring on the brooch. Any help is appreciated.
Actually I searched all online images of their cherub/double cherub brooches & couldn't find yours, which makes it a rare vintage beauty :) Some of their cherub designs have single pearls as part of the design, but doesn't look like there is room on your cherub area - I would say if your brooch had that bottom loop & the pearls came with it, that it's a good guess you were right to add them as dangles. They're beautiful, look like Sistine Chapel babies
Newfld, thanks so much for your help.
The odd shapes to the drop pearls are as good as it gets !~
Hi there!
I saw where you were from! How nice to have a "neighbor" who collects too. I grew up in Avila and See Canyon. Nice to know someone here knows of these places! San Luis has grown by leaps and bounds in the past decades! Do you remember when the only thing on the highway was the Sunset drive in? Ha! Welcome to CW! I would love to see more of your collection. Mine is going to my Daughter, who, besides raising 3 boys, is into hiking and backpacking. Trying real hard to get her interested in vintage!
Pheobe1980 yes SLO county has changed considerably in the last "few" years. Still no place like it.
