    hi there,

I used to love to be at my grandma's house and listen to this clock. The time and date still work!
When she passed away, I was able to get the clock for my wall.
    The pat date is 1875?
Anyone have any info about it? I know it is priceless to me but would love to get info and value.

    thanks
    E

It's called a calendar clock for obvious reasons. Here's a great website for you: http://www.clockguy.com/SiteRelated/SiteReferencePages/SethThomasHistory.html

      Hi,
That's a very nice, impressive Seth Thomas that you've inherited. It looks like a Seth Thomas Parlor Calendar No. 3 ca 1879. The tail end of the thin Day Hand appears to be missing. It kind of looks like a quarter moon which gives the day hand a very distinctive appearance. Seth Thomas collectors usually drool over these types of clocks. In mint condition, examples of the Parlor Calendar No. 3 were valued at $1,100 in 2004. Like the Economy, the market is currently down on average for antique clocks. Most recently these clocks have been selling at online auctions for somewhere between $400-$500 (buyer's premiums included). Hang on to it and enjoy your priceless childhood memories. They only get better with time! :)
