Here is a 3 1-2"H x 4 3-4'"W lavender glass Scottish terrier on a platform, originally designed in the 1940s by Heisey Glass as their item #1541, Scottie, reissued for the Heisey Collectors of America (HCA) by Dalzell Viking in lavender in 1993 ( it has the raised imprint HCA 93 on platform side). Last photo shows picture & info about original from book Glass Animals & Figurines by Coe
Beautiful color and stance.
This is a real beauty, I think the more common one, but in my eyes the best one !~
Love the color ~~
Absolutely,Positively,Without a doubt.........OUTSTANDING!!!!
Great color ! Looks just like my little girl. Well, on a good hair day fresh from the groomer. :)
American glass colours do it for me.
This Scottie is wonderfully modeled, and of course, the colour!
Many thanks everyone for the love

& DejaVu for the like
Thank you DejaVu for your lovely comment, it's a really nice lavender shade (I re-took the pix as the sculpting creates dark shadows) and yes his stance is quite proud
Phil thank you for your awesome comment, glad you saw the beauty here, Heisey- designed animals are among the best. Scottie dogs are a common find in glass but always adorable
I know how you love the color pink Rose, this shade definitely leans toward that & so happy you loved it, thank you for your sweet comment
Ralph thank you for thinking this an outstanding pup, I agree wholeheartedly! Always totally grateful for your terrific kind words
Thank you Mike for your super comment & I'm so pleased that this dog reminds you of your own precious Scottie, she is certainly a beauty from your photos. Oh yes, I know how terriers' hair grows fast & needs the groomer, but I bet she really enjoys the experience
Karen this lavender ice glass was from the Gem series of Heisey animals given to various co's to reissue in 1993, otherwise most vintage American glassmakers of animals stuck to 'tried & true' colors incl cobalt, amber, red, avocado etc., so actually I search other countries for more variety lately. Love US glass animals too of course, as a matter of fact I'm getting a few repeaters in diff colors that I haven't posted in yrs & hope you will enjoy them. This Scottie looks great on the platform doesn't he, very regal. Thank you for your always great & thoughtful comment
Thank you Penny for the love for this Heisey Scottie dog, really pleased that you liked him and greatly appreciate your thoughtfulness
He's ADORABLE!!! I adore his lovely light lilac/pink colour it's so feminine and soft. So sweet... ^^ If I had these little dogs I'd dress them in little tartan jackets, have a plaid basket for them by the fire and definitely a Highland mansion to go along with them! Who wouldn't...?! ;)
Thank you all for the thoughtful love

Lauren thank you for your fab kind praise for this Scottie! You described the color perfectly, a pinkish lilac, and he is so realistic you truly can picture him in a Highland setting with a cute tartan outfit, wonderful imagery I love it
