What year is this? It is serial # 3041 model 972 lincoln airlube grease gun. it came from a gas station going under. I think it is 40-50's. Quite different looking from the new one except for the actual grease pump hidden inside. A new one is $1300 us just for the pump that goes on a bucket of grease. Mine hides the 5 gallon bucket inside. I pressure washed the green off it and am wondering if it is worth more restored or should i leave it old looking?

It's a pneumatic grease dispenser from the 40's. Very Cool item, and would look great either restored, or just as it is. I'd never restore it, just put it in my gas pump museum, as another piece of American History. For similar items check my website at: http://www.vintagegas.com I might add, that this is not a solicitation, nothing is for sale, it's just to keep the gas pump history alive. Best of luck, Don

Thanks very much for the info. Very nice museum. Interesting stuff. It's a hard decision whether to restore or not,,,,,
