UNUSUAL COMBINATION BARBED WIRE

Hagemeier # 907B patented by Francis A. Blackmer of Springfield, MA patent #307,005, Oct. 21, 1884. The patent was assigned (sold) to the Washburn & Moen Company, Worcester, Massachussetts. This design adds a hi-tensile re-inforcing wire to a ribbon to give it added strength. Several variations of this theme have been found in very small quantities so it must not have been a profitable design.
