I'm trying to find out who this is. I found it in my Grandfathers shed 2 weeks ago. At first I thought it was Leo Carrillo. But I don't think so. My grandfather had a lot of signed photos. He was also an actor for the theaters in Pasadena Ca,
I believe you have a picture of Pedro Gonzalez-Gonzalez. He was a co-star in the John Wayne 1959 movie "Rio Lobo" also co-starring Dean Martin, Angie Dickinson and Ricky Nelson. Pedro played the hotel owner where John Wayne had a room.
I think Dennis is right.
Thank you so much dennis and lowspeed. I believe you are right!
Your Welcome. I just love movie trivia challenges. Great movie! I've seen Pedro in quite a few movies. He usually plays somewhat comedic roles such as saloon owner/hotel owner/etc.
Well you were really close.I looked up and found that its his brother Jose Gonzalez-Gonzalez. They have the same picture on his grave stone. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=pv&GRid=5832476&PIpi=149578
but without your help.I wouldn't of known. So Thanks again.
OOPS! That was "Rio Bravo"; not "Rio Lobo". Didn't realize he had a brother that looked so similar. Well, it was fun researching it. Great Pic; Enjoy.
Leo Carrillo, he played Poncho with the Cisco Kid back in the 50's right ?? I think I'm right don't you !!
I'm 70 and I'm pretty sure it is Gonzalez-Gonzalez also. Saw him in a lot of movies. They were really type-cast in those days. Good thing there were a lot of western movies with Mexican people in them. Of course the STAR'S were always top movie people made to look like whatever nationalty they needed. Personally I always enjoyed seeing the REAL people. Only way an average kid could learn about other nationality's. I always thought they were great!
Thank you Shirley. That's my sisters name too. If you read the 5th comment and push the website you will see they used this picture on his grave marker for Jose Gonzalez-Gonzalez. It was signed to my cousin Cherilyn (born 1966)at the Pomona fair. my mom now remembers.haa .After the mystery was solved. Thank you again!
it looks like klinger on mash you know the one that wore a dress alot to try to get out of the army. dont know his real name but you can look it up.
