Joseph Adams, landscape, 1980? If anyone knows more about this artist or painting I'd love to hear about it.

Nice. I like the textures. What are the dimensions?

Not that old to be so discolored, so probably spent some time in a smokers home.

Maybe a Texas blue bells (flowers) painting.

I am the youngest daughter of Joseph Adams, the artist who painted the Texas blue bonnet painting above in 1980. He was born and raised in Oklahoma. Painting was his livelihood. He took an art course in his younger days and later sold almost every painting he created except for some that he gave as gifts to the family and a few keepsakes. He eventually contracted out to a man in Texas and sold hundreds of paintings ranging in size from 2"x3"s to 36"x 48" and some maybe larger. One year he was the only American to be invited to an art show in Paris, France where he displayed some of his finest work. I have several of his paintings hanging on the walls in my home today. Dad's talent and hard work supported us, a family of eight. He was also a farmer and a part-time salesman. I remember very little of the years before we moved to the Old 80 Farm where Dad built our country home on my Grandfather's 80 acres. We lived there for 13 years before moving to Crescent, Oklahoma and later to Waukomis, Oklahoma. He passed away in 1983 after suffering a heart attack followed by a stroke. Correction: Dad passed away in 1993 not 1983. I hit the wrong key.
