I'm not sure of artist or anything about this lamp. My dad gave it to me and said that if I could find a signature it would be of value. It has been in our family for a long time. I hope someone can help me.
    Thanks Mindy-

It appears to have texture on the exterior of the shade, like the bumps on the surface of a basket ball. If so, the maker of the shade is either Pittsburgh Lamp, Brass and Glass Co. or Phoenix. The colors, style of painting and shape of shade makes me lean toward Phoenix. The base, although attractive, is not original to the shade and was made by someone else and I do not know who. If you would like to increase the value, search eBay for a Phoenix or Pittsburgh base that has two pull chain sockets and is not shorter than the diameter of the shade plus 1 or 2 inches, excluding the finial. A good bronze or antique brass finish would be a plus. Before buying, make sure that the diameter of the opening of your shade will fit the shade holder of the lamp (unless your current shade holder is original and you can transfer to the new base). I hope this helps.
