This porcelain sake set was made by well known American potter, George William Peterson III. All three pieces are marked "GWP III" on the bottoms. The flask is 4" high, the cups 1" high and all three pieces are about 2.25" widest diameter. The glaze was made using wood ash, a Japanese technique, and the pottery is very thin and has a metallic ring as if it has been fired at a very high temperature.
Mr. Peterson was apprenticed to a Japanese master potter in Japan and trained in the U. S. by Japanese potters. He was formally trained in the Japanese tea ceremony.
He is well listed by The Marks Project:

He has his own web site but it appears his kiln may be semi retired as there are several dead links and nothing on the pages devoted to galleries and upcoming exhibitions.
