Hello everyone!!
Some of you may already know that I've been a huge fan of The Wind In The Willows, by Kenneth Grahame, since I was a child, and it was a favorite book of mine then and still is today. I have many items in my collection in regards to The Wind In The Willows. One of those many items is this 1908 (second printing) cloth bound book. The very first printing was in Oct. 1908 and this was printed in Dec. 1908. The book is still in remarkable condition to be 115 years old and even retains it's original gold gilt on the top and bottom page edges as well as the gold gilt lettering on the cover. As you can see in pic #4, it even retains the original tissue paper in the first pages. I'll be posting several more items from my Wind In The Willows collection in the coming weeks. I also has couple of very nice 1913 copies as well as a nice 1930 edition.
Thanks very much for stopping in for a look!!

Jenni,
Thanks so very much!! This was a favorite of mine as a kid and I still find myself picking it up and reading it today. Kenneth Grahame was such an amazing and imaginative author and authored several books during his time as a writer.
