icked this up a few months ago but didn't get around to posting it. It is of course a knife sharpener as it says in the title. It has an attractive sea foam green handle with a nice vintage style label. I have been collecting vintage kitchen this and that for some time. Not so much lately as I have a lot and it gets harder to find interesting items I don't already have. Not much to say about it but here it is.
Last photo some of my other vintage kitchenware. I am partial to the sea foam green although I started with red.
I see they come in different colours, maybe a different grade of stone.
fortapache, Cool. :-)
It kinda matches your vintage Singer model 185 sewing machines, huh? };-)
BHIFOS, Here's a red handled one, but it's described as No. 273A, so dunno:

Thank you very much BHIFOS. But it appears not as keramikos found out.
Thank you very much keramikos. I fear sometimes I and others do not do our research as we have a feeling you will do it. Mine is also a 273A so the color theory for courseness of the stone did not pan out.
I found the yellow handled one here which caused me to comment as the stone looks a different colour which with sharpener sets often denotes a different grade of stone ie coarse, medium and fine etc, but maybe it's just oil stained

Thank you again BHIFOS. The model # on that one is the same but maybe I should get all 3 colors.
fortapache, You're welcome. :-)
There are a number of factors that play into my research of various CW S&T items: (1) how much does the item intrique me (2) how much spare time do I have (3) how much do I want to dodge various real world chores. };-)
Ugh.
"[I]ntrique" should read "intrigue."
