Early 19th Century J.H. Farthing Co. Portable Desk Part Two

Hello everyone!!
This would be the interior of the J.H. Farthing portable desk that I just posted. As I mentioned in my previous post, J.H. Farthing was a maker of writing desks, dressing boxes and work boxes between 1806 and 1836 in London, England. The interior is quite elaborate. the writing surface is made of green wool and I love the slide out drawer. You'll notice there is a brass pin that prevents the drawer from sliding out while in transit. There are two original ink bottle which were both hand blown and sealed with corks. I'll post the ink bottles in a later post. One compartment opens to reveal a very beautiful letter holder. I've seen this inside of European trunks, but the first I've seen in a portable desks.
