Another find while cleaning out an old general store my parent's owned back in the 70's. The store had been in existence for years before they purchased it. These leatherbound books were found in that store. I have had them on my bookshelf for years.
Without Benefit of Clergy by Rudyard Kipling;
As a Man Thinketh by James Allen;
Last Days of a Condemned Man by Victor Hugo;
Finest Story in the World by Rudyard Kipling;
Salome by Wilde;
The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde;
Land of Heart's Desire by W.B. Yeates;
Sherlock Holmes by Conan Doyle;
The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam by Fitzgerald.
There are no publishing or copywrite dates in these books. Can anyone provide me with information on this library. How old? They are in pretty good condition - however, I do not know the age. They were preserved in plastic for years before I put them on my shelf years ago. Anyone?
I have some that look similar... are these tiny, or full-sized?
Forgot to mention, mine say "Little Leather Library Corporation New York", but no copyright date.
Ok, once more... I missed your title, you do say they are miniature. So, they must be the same. Yours don't have the Little Leather Library info inside on the first page?
On the back mine say "Redcroft Edition", or "Redcraft", it's hard to tell.
Yes, I just checked and they do say New York. It also says "Redcraft Edition" or "Redcroft Edition". I cannot make it out either. I think we're on to something !!! Now we have to figure out something about them!!
Thanks for bringing that to my attention!
