Sherman Brooch and Earrings, Opaque White Stones, Glass Leaves, Rhinestones, All Signed

A very rare Opaque White Stone brooch has 3 of the Glass Leaves that Sherman was using. This size was Sherman`s largest using the glass leaves and few of this size has been seen so far. It is his company`s own design, and I am sure it is the most beautiful and somewhat fragile, real glass leaves used by any of the costume jewellers. The use of a 4 leaf clover by Van Cleef and Arpels an early as 1955 apparently was "first" but other manufacturers may have used theirs around then. Theirs was a rather insignificant representation of a 4 leaf clover and NOT glass. This particular leaf was specially designed by Sherman and quite different than other makers. From 2008 to now this is a rather late entry !
