I spent this past Saturday working on an Ivory color Pennwood Corona from 1940. The clock was a mess but salvageable. I have one Aqua one from 1937. The clock looked like it had been through a fire at one time. The cord was melted and cut off close to the coil of the clock. I popped the motor cover went in and cleaned the gears. Hooked it up to the number rack, it ran, but the coil was so weak, I had to replace it. The interior of the case had a carbon deposit from the motor. It cleaned up nicely and is running. While cleaning it I discovered that it has a silver-plated bezel. Keeps great time.
