    Hello I’ve just rediscovered this lovely ornament, looks great and I saw a bigger version of it in a posh antique shop run by a guy from antique roadshow last week. Hopefully I can find out more information about this on here, I guess that is a maker’s mark the red D, not sure how old it is. Do these get called majolica

      Very pretty floral piece! That's a Royal Doulton mark (a bit faded, but look closely), and I think the style is often called capodimonte

      Thanks newfld , I thought capodimonte was a Italian company that makes majolica and pottery, I’ve had a few old pieces in the past
