This is a ceramic pot that has been in the garden for ages, and still in good condition so must be well made. The swirls are what feels like metal - which brought me here, does anyone know who mixed metal with ceramics and can date this piece. No marks.

Approximately H 22cm and width across the top 20cms across the bottom 12 cms.

    Thank you

Dimensions and images of the bottom and interior might be helpful... Maybe a side view?

Thank you I have added some more information - the swirls are definitely some form of metal as it feels a bit rusty ????

Based on the size and configuration of the lid, it appears to be a tureen:

Very nice one, great glaze. Deserves to be out of the garden and put to use. A Google Images search did not find anything similar..

I have seen some Spanish pottery that combined metal and ceramic, but none that was attributable to a maker.
