My mother has this clock and thinks that it belonged to her great great grandmother. Does anyone know what kind of clock this is or how old it could be?

Going by its looks, it's a Victorian, Eastlake design period clock, roughly 1870 to the 1890s

      Hi, Nataliegrace. Beautiful clock :-)

I suspect John2Nhoj is right about your mantel clock. The fact that your mother believed it belonged to her great great grandmother is another clue.

However, if you can open the back to examine the works, you might find more clues about it.
