Here is a nice find from eBay AU, a classic example of Kralik crackle glass in an attractive shade of purple.
It measures 18 cm tall, 6.5 cm across the cut top rim, & 6 cm across the base.
The vase is made from a single layer of translucent light purple glass with an intense iridescent finish & crackle decor.
The outdoors photo shows the light purple colouration while slightly playing down the iridescence (it was overcast).
Bohemian origin, made by Kralik circa 1900.
Great, love the iridescence.
Many thanks, Peggy!
Yes, a nice example that I'm very pleased with...
~ OMFG ~ Drooling ~
Thanks also, antiquerose!
A beautiful example of the production of the Kralik glass factory. The W. Kralik glassworks used the name "Krokodil Iris" for this type of glass (by the way, the Loetz glassworks also used the name Krokodil).
Many thanks, Ales - & Krokodil Iris is a fantastic name for this decor!
