The manufacturer in Germany (now Rosenthal) does not have this decor in their records. (tea pot yes) the mark identifies it in the 1925 - 1939 area.
The current opinion is that this tea pot was bought as "white ware" and was hand painted / decorated by someone in a "club" or home setting.
I was told that it was common in the 1920's to have china decorating classes and clubs. There is a signature / nick name either cobb or cabb.
Unfortunately it has some damage to the right quadrant of the spout rim.
Not quite the best pictures to see it.
If anybody has information or seen another similar decor, please contact me.
My current dilemma is putting a price on a damaged "One of a kind" tea pot from the 1920 /30's.
Feel free to share any thoughts!!!
thank you
