Really love this set, but would like to identify the maker and pattern. Can anyone help?? I was wondering, as I've only seen a few pieces that have this type of pressed glass pattern. It's very heavy and in great condition. There is one small "cut" under the handle. It looks like it was from time of manufacture more than a chip, almost like it happened when bending the handle.

This pattern was originally made by McKee and was part of their Pres-cut line. The pattern is called Valtec and it was introduced around 1913.

The moulds were acquired by Kemple in the 1940s, and this is when items were first produced in milk white. McKee only made this pattern in clear glass. Kemple produced some of the tec patterns (including Valtec) in milk white and transparent colors to 1970. After that, Wheaton acquired the moulds and produced the patterns.

Wow, thank you so much. Is there any way of telling between it being Kemple or Wheaton? Thanks again!!!

Some Kemple is marked with a capital K. If it's unmarked, it could be either Kemple or Wheaton.

some pieces of Valtec were also reproduce more recently by L. E. Smith Glass

Yes, this is true, but I believe L.E. Smith only reproduced Valtec in transparent glass. Looks like they only offer a pitcher in Valtec these days (part of their Heritage series, which includes other repros of tec patterns, etc). From the stuff I've seen recently at TJ Maxx, newly made Smith glass is marked with a capital S.
