I obtained this after my aunt died. It's two pieces. One is a circular dish with a girl pointing toward a star. The second piece is a very thick glass, a few inches tall with a boy pointing toward a star. The name on the bottom is not legible to me. It is inscribed in long hand. We have brought them to antique dealers and they said they don't know what it is. A few guessed and said they thought it was a cigarette holder and ashtray. I don't have a clue as to what it is or it's value. Can anyone identify it?
Can anyone help me identify what this is?
Your pieces are signed Kjellander, they could be designed by Lars Kjellander or one of his brothers. The Kjellanders were Scandinavian copper wheel engravers, their pieces are very collectable.
The vase and the ashtry seems to be Strömbergshyttan models. Strombergshyttan crystal in little blue colored tone seems also be right? Kjellander have probably bought some glass from Strombergshyttan and engraved their own motifs on it?
Maybe models T155 and B919 from Strömbergshyttan?
Interesting comment, Nils!
yes, agreed.......Strombergshyttan crystal
