Religious phrase makes this sampler so endearing. 1830 an 11 year old from Sennen, Cornwall, England. I have pedigree info.

This almost 200 year old needlework sampler is a lovely keepsake with known pedigree but in need of finding clues of decendants from HER till now. A project I will someday tackle. Magry (Margaret) Harry was born in 1819 in Sennen, Cornwall, England. In 1847 she married William Rowe. Her son, William Rowe, was born about 1858. Margy died in 1876 in the same town as her birth. That is all I have and where I will need to start my search. The religious phrase is unusual. The angels are winged and are my favorate part of the piece. The floral pattern on the border is very nice. Enjoy looking at this piece of wonder. It makes you daydream.

      G'day from Down Under!
I noticed that this posting was made four years ago and that you have not managed to get any assistance... alas this has not changed as I am also unable to help on this particular item!
I am descended from most of the families in the Sennen-Constantine-St.Keverne districts and everywhere in-between (reading between the lines: most of Cornwall!) but I do not have your Margaret or her husband William or son.
I would be most interested in learning what you have found since this message was posted?? Most of my HARRY line comes from Gwithian around the 1630's so I seriously doubt we will ever get a link there, and my Sennen connection is just prior to 1700 and they were Quakers.
      However:
If you are still interested there is a Rootsweb email list called Cornish-Gen where we discuss anything to do with Cornish genealogy and you might be able to learn more about the family behind your Margery Harry. There are lots of other Cornish/Cornwall email lists and forums available but most are now dead while Cornish-Gen is alive and buzzing with all things Cornish.
I am intrigued with your sampler! I was wondering how you come by it, whether you are related and inherited it or was it a special purchase, and do you still have it???
I know I'm being nosey...put it down to too many years of digging up dead people!!
      Seeya!
