    It’s been about a year when I bought this lamp; I bought it not because I knew what it was but because it looked so oddly strange sitting there amongst the other lamps. It is not ceramic, metal nor porcelain but wood. A good size, of what seemed to be carved wood, dual sockets, original fabric shade and off I go. I arrive home and immediately began the leg work on any finding any information I can on the web. Often I can find the answer and or history of items I buy on the internet within a fair amount of time. Wrong! A little bit over a year and here I am, clueless. I've named the lamp, “Two-sided Wood Face Lamp".

    Any expert advice from here members would be greatly appreciated.

      I'm guessing here but the sockets look like 70's to me. Actually the whole thing has that 70's look to it. Probably has an inline roll switch in the cord.
