This teapot was part of my husband's aunts estate. I have no idea where it came from or if it is silver or silver plated. It is possible it came from Germany, where Tante Fina was born. But she also worked as a housekeeper for some well-off families in the New Rochelle, New York when she first came to this country and they sometimes gave her items (such as dishes, flatware etc.) they no longer wanted. She most likely was given this teapot because a small daisy-like flower had broken off the very top of the lid. We have the flower but have not looked into having it reattached. There is an identification number and mark on the bottom of the teapot, but I haven't been able to learn what company it represents.
I am very curious as to where this pot may have been made and what it's value might be. I do not think it is sterling silver, but perhaps silver plate. I hope someone can provide me with some information.

Hi Dean,
Thanks so much for your response and the information you provided re my silver teapot. I was curious about the marking on the bottom. Do you have any idea where I might find additional information about that?
