I have had this bowl sitting on top of my china cabinet for 30 years, ever since I inherited both the china cabinet and the bowl from my grandparents. My grandmother had tucked inside the bowl a newspaper article in which someone had inquired about a similar item, wanting to know what kind of glass it was. The newspaper clipping indicated it was Fenton, opalescent Cranberry Coin Spot, manufactured from 1947 until the end of 1956. I don't know exactly where my grandmother bought it or whether it was a gift to her, but she had it for as long as I can remember (and I'm over 50).
WOW!!! Pretty, love it. Some people call it coin dot also, I think it is worth a little bit.
Made in the 1960s
Oh wait I see you have the dates, never mind
very nice collectable piece! Fenton actually did call this 'Coin Dot' in the 1950 catalog and you have a No.91 covered candy jar.

very nice piece. i would say that it is worth at least $100- $150. made in the 50's. personally i wouldnt take less than $150 for it. very nice item! thanks for sharing!
Thanks! My grandmother used to keep this jar full of candy mints on top of her quarter-grand piano (a 1904 Chickering that my sister still has). I remember getting mints out of it every time we were there.
