I'm attempting to learn some history on my schoolhouse desk. I can't seem to find anything exactly like this online. The two things that make it unique (unique until I find another one!) are the way that the metal frame attached to the seat and the wooden footrests. I haven't come across these features online or in person. I'm guessing maybe 1920's to 1930's? I've found a similar leg configuration online that was said to be the industrial designer Norman Bel Geddes work. It is marked on the front (seat side) of the desk: American Seating Company, Grand Rapids, Mich. Any help in the exact I.D. would be greatly appreciated. (Exact year, photos of others (in ads maybe) with footrests, etc.) Thank you.
