Hi, After seeing Vintagemad's photos this morning, it made me want to post a photo of one I have that I got from my one of my dad's favorite catches. He and my daughter were fishing in a lake in March of 1997 and pulled out this 12 lb. 1 ounce bass. He had fished his whole life and this was the only one he took the time to have preserved. He passed away in 2008, and this is one of my most prized items from him. It also means alot to my daughter, his little fishing buddy.I have also included a photo of them on the day they caught it. Sorry about the quality of the photo, it is a photo of a photo. One question I have is how do you clean dust off of these type items without damaging them ? Thanks for looking, and have a blessed day
thats great i would say a can of air to blow it off
Thanks for sharing such a great family story and item.

I am 51 with one brother, 2 nieces , nephew and 2 daughters. I dont have quite the fishing crew that you do ! Thanks. Mom and dad both passed .... it is definitely different when you lose your parents. Talk to you later
yes it is lonely but till we meet again thanks good fishing
Thanks vinylrecordsaddicted for the love.
Great bass and great story! If you want to clean the dust off it (I know I'm a bit late to the party on this one) there are few precautions you have to take. Don't use any "harsh" cleaners. Just a slightly damp rag would do. So long as it's not dripping wet after you're done cleaning it, just let it air dry and time should take care of the rest.
Hopefully it will survive another generation so the memory can be passed on!
Thanks MichiganMillsJr for the cleaning information and for the love ! I will definitely try the damp rag. I have not tried any cleaning yet, definitely want to keep it around ! Thanks, Thrifty Gypsy.
