Imperial Glass Company, No. 474
I have the same little pitcher. On the bottom of mine there is a funny looking i with a big G in the middle over the i. I believe it to be Imperial Glass as well. I think I read somewhere that this marking may indicate from 1980-1982.
i had a few of them also, very heavy to
In 1972 Lenox Incorporated and Imperial arranged a stock exchange and began marking their glassware with the LIG backstamp. In 1982 Arthur Lorch purchased the company from Lenox and used a new ALIG backstamp on pieces produced
here's an online link for makers' marks that includes several of those for Imperial Glass: http://www.ddoty.com/makermarks.html
No markings that I can find on mine. Could that be because it is older than those mentioned above?....given to me as a wedding gift in 1970.
