Four more examples of overshot glass in different colors. The crown also comes in white but I have yet to find one that is not cracked. The crown cracks very easily due to the intricate shape, varying thickness of glass, and the "pockets" that trap the heat. If you have one of these in your collection, never burn a candle in it if you value your investment.
The crown is known as the "Queen's Crown" as is was commissioned by Clarke to commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1897. However, it is known as the "Clarke Crown" in his advertisements.
They are several more designs made in overshot glass but this is enough for now. I will illustrate other glass types in future postings.

I have never seen the Crowns before.
Thank you for shating these wonderful pieces!
The crown is not too difficult to find. They show up periodically on eBay. However, the are almost always cracked. The shape traps the heat and the complex design lends it self to a crack.
The base of the shade is 2.25" and fits a standard pyramid cup. They come in blue, red, and white.
