This phone was in the house my uncle bought over 55 yrs.ago It's very heavy and it has a door that you can unscrew and the door opens to a compartment.I bought it about 7 yrs.ago from him.The house was there at lease 75 yrs.The bells still ring when you turn the crank handle.It"s really a special item one because of buying it from my uncle and to for the history behind the phone itself.

Your oak Sears & Roebuck Co. wall telephone was manufactured by Chicago Telephone & Supply Company around 1913. Sears was a distributor, mainly for products manufactured by Chicago Telephone & Supply Co. A brass name tag with Sears, Roebuck & Company name was attached to most wall sets.
