I need help identifying this lamp. My father owned it until the late 70's at which time he sold it. My father passed away 20 years ago so I have no information about it other than this one photo. Can anyone tell me the maker, age, value etc? Thanks for your help.

Did you buy Back your dads lamp?

Could be a lamp of Bradley & Hubbard, Salem, Miller, Pittsburgh or a few other makers. Because of it's base & shorter appearance, Gothic/Italian Renaissance Revival style , to me it looks more like an earlier example, which means it was patterned after or a factory-altered oil lamp made then for what was early electrical use. I would date it from 1880's-1910 and could truly date better if I saw it in reality ! Gothic revival fashion went out of taste about 1910-1915 and was supplanted by the already existing Art Nouveau & then Arts & Crafts styles. Price, cleaned, working (cord should be cloth covered for correctness), no breaks in glass and intact: approximately $800-1200.

This lamp is identified as made by Miller on page 82 of Quality Electric Lamps published by L-W Book Sales 1992. I agree with composer369 as to value, but every once in a while these go for up to $1,500.00. But that's from two people fighting over the same lot at auction. I would be curious as to what your father got for it in the 70's.
