Pretty pink and clear colored thick glass vase. It stands about 5 '' high and about 6 '' wide. I t weights 5 pounds!! at least thats what my scale said, it is very heavy though. Can someone tell me when its from and its value? Since there are no markings I'm thinking the 1940's but i could be totally off. I just know its old.

    Thank you

I am not being mean because I have two pieces right now I am trying to identify, but I think they may be Chinese and made to deceive. I have searched 1000's of photographs online, 5 art glass books, 10 years of Judith Miller, emailed 3 glass studios, and still nothing... Mine are both blue. Each of them an amazing piece whom ever made them

      chrislamberthjr, hi
I looked at your blue piece that you have posted. Its different in shape than mine, but you could be right, thats why I'm looking for information because i'm not sure and I'm far from being an expert.

Yeah its a different shape, but its still free form super heavy glass with polished ponytail... I thought for a while they might be Dominick Labino, but everything of his seems to be signed. The vase I mailed to Palestine a few days ago, had a base that was like new. Literately. The base of my vase looks like my grandmothers old, old Murano? I have no idea...

I have seen a good bit of the Chinese imports lately.. It normally has waves in the glass, good glass will not have that.... Its thinner and the pontail is usally still al little rough not completely polished. If your bowl or vase is like mine its THICK.. I do not think they would spend the time wasting that amount of glass to deceive at $3 a pop... I am still thinking you and I have something pretty good!

      Good luck!!

All i can say for sure, is that my vase was purchased at a tag sale about 15 years ago.

Thats good news for me... Someone posted mine might be china too. But the scratches to the base are to random and old to be a reproduction! Yours looks very Murano to me.
