    I think this could be an asian item I don't know- but iwill put it on the Asian slot- maybe someone will know . bought this for 5 bucks - it is really nice no cracks .

      What you have is called a fish bowl (see the koi on the inside). The flowers are probably peonies which are seen in eastern art. In China and Japan, the peony symbolizes good fortune, wealth, nobility, and/or value. Five dollars was a good value.

      These fish bowls can be purchased at numerous stores. It makes a great planter and some people put the bowl on a stand, a piece of round glass on top, and use it as an accent table.

      Thank you Solver , you think maybe you can look at my other items and see if you can solve them? I saw one just like this planter at some auction place it was going for alot of money, I've never seen one like this at regular stores , I wonder how old it is . Thank you veyr much for commenting ...
