    This is a small WW1 era snapshot of three soldiers-- one on what appears to be an Indian motorcycle-- I can read "Ind" on the tank.

    The driver wears cotton canvas leg wraps-- probably to keep some of the mud off his boots.

    This photograph dates from about 1917- 1920.

      Another wonderful photo, Scott.

      I've seen Mike on "American Pickers" flip when he finds Indian motorcycle parts but don't remember that he ever mentioned the importance of the company towards the war effort.

      This is a 1919 Indian Military Powerplus in the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum, captioned "the motorcycle that helped the U.S. win the First World War." It's an interesting story.
