Does anybody out there know who this might have been, before she was destroyed? It is the face and the detail in the eyes that intrigues me....
Reply to gee@whidbey.com if you have any information, please.
    Thanks,
    Mark G.

are there any marks on the doll?
    2. markg markg, 14 years ago
No. No marks. Her head is all that is left. Even her shoulders are broken below the neck. I just thought she was beautifully made, looking at the eyes. They almost appear to be like miniature millefiori glass. Whatever, a lot went into making them.

the doll is beautiful! i will try to see if i can find your dolls name and maker for you. did you see my Dorothy doll she is one of the oldest in my collection i have her on my show and tell page. i have hundreds of dolls and not enough time to put them all on my page. but anyways i will try and find yours and will let you know when i do. :)

still not much luck you your doll I just got 4 new books tho. i will still keep an eye out for you. let me know if you find anything else out about the doll. any little info could help me find it. oh where did you get the doll? I forgot to ask you that before.

      Hi again, Candice,
I bought the head only at a thrift store here where I live. The body was already completely gone and part of the shoulder is broken, as well. Only what you see in the photos remains. I just loved her face and the trouble that went into making her, as is attested to by the eyes. I thought that I might find a use for her with my new granddaughter somehow.
Thanks for all your trouble. If I find anything out, I will mail you.
      Regards, MG

      Hi Sarah,
I just responded to CandiceAnne, thinking I was answering her question, instead of yours. I didn't notice it was someone else. Anyway, that post tells the story. I would be curious to see your doll, though, if it looks the same. Thanks..MG
I am also curious as to whether this post alerts you that I responded. CandiceAnne's post showed up in my email and I not sure how.

sounds good. :) i don't know what Sara meant by my post showing up in her email. i commented to you right from my page. but I'm sorta new to this so i don't know if i did that right or not.

Hey CandiceAnne, would you go look at the other doll I just put up on "Unsolved Mysteries" today and see if you can identify it? Thanks......MG
    11. candiceanne81 candiceanne81, 14 years ago
Hey Markg. I did find your doll i said i would look for. but this doll is categorized as a mystery doll. it is a child doll 12"tall with a kid body that means its a leather body that your doll had at one time. shoulder plate bisque dome head and bisque lower arms with blue paperweight eyes. this doll was a girl with short blond hair wig. there is no more info on her that anyone knows yet. if i find out anything more i will let you know. and I'm gonna take a look at your other doll now. hope this helped a little. talk to you soon.
