Purchased two portraits at yardsale Kicking Bear the other is Sitting Bull...the people who sold these to me said they were aquired approx. 1969. The artist is Boyle to whom there is no information anywhere on the internet. I have searched the internet for information on these remarkable images. They have Vanguard Studios of Beverly Hills cata #'s that appear on the back other than that I have no clue but Boyle did what appears to be great waterboard art. They are a wonderful addition to my living space with the beauty of what appears to be hand carved oak frames.
does anyone have information on the above I have the one portrait of sitting bull as well and was interested about the value.
Hello, I have the same pictures shown above plus Red Cloud and Chief Joseph a set of 4. My pictures are framed exactly like yours. I would like to know what they are worth and is they are by James Neal Boyle? Any info would be great. Thanks
I have these same ones also. I have tried everything I know to gather any information. I came up with nothing. Did you ever find out anything?
I just found another one by the same artist but this one says " RED CLOUD oglala sioux I will talk with you no more,.I will go now and I will fight you" with an Indian chief.
