This chair is brown leather seat and back the legs are shorter than a standard chair. On the back of the chair has a flat peice of wood and a wooden clothes hanger. Not sure about its use.

I hope someone can tell me what this chair was used for and the value if any.

The chair is a valet-chair. You would undress and hang your clothes up and put your accessories in the tray on the back of the chair. Your chair is not from the early 1900's.

Take a photo of the tag, and perhaps someone will recognize it.

Not much value made cheaply and vinyl covered (not leather) or just plain wood. most were bought as gifts and never used. I say some time in the mid-century.
