I own this old sewing machine. I don't know exactly, how old she is. I call Husqvarna Viking co. and they say that it's probably a 1876 who as been converted for the electricity. The serial number is 37392 and on the front C.WP.Co Model 128, Precision-Built De Luxe. I don't know if someone can help me to date my machine.
    P.S. : Sorry for my bad english...( I'm a french-Canadian speaker ).

Lynda : This is not a 1876 model machine that has been converted to electricity . This machine was made to be electric . I also own an electric machine with a shuttle bobbin but it is not a White machine . If your machine were a 1876 machine it would have a lot of gold colored dectoration all over it . I also own several White machines . One is a antique treadle machine from the 1800's and two of the others are electric machines . All of them are more ornate than your machine and are much older than yours . I do not know why yours has a shuttle bobbin , but it is not an antique . A true antique has to be at least 100 years old . Your machine is not . Your machine looks to be a machine made in Japan . I could be wrong about that , but it looks like those type of machines to me . That does not mean that it is a bad machine . The machines made in Japan are very good machines . At least the older ones . I would say that your machine could be from the 1930's to 1940's .

Thank you for your help. When I call Huskvarna Viking they told me that by checking the serial number and knowing that my machine have a shuttle bobine.
My machine is made in Canada. It's written on it.
      Thank's.

Is Made in Canada on the motor, or on the machine body?
I am inclined to agree with Nancy, this machine is probably Japanese and probably 1940 or later in date. 128 is the Singer model number for this type of machine, and it is probably a copy of the Singer machine. The way the light is attached over a kidney shaped rear inspection plate looks like it may have been a 'universal' machine designed to be fitted with electric or treadle parts.
If it is Japanese, there may be clues underneath the machine with J-A or J-C or JSI stamping.
