I inherited this delicate little vase and I would like to identify it. It is open at the top and has a small gold braid on it.

I collect antique perfume bottles for my wife, and that is what this looks like. I have a couple that have a similiar shape. If it is a perfume bottle, it is missing the stopper. The ones I have purchased have a stopper with a 1-2" end on it that fits down into the bottle. You would use that to dab the perfume on your wrist, neck, etc. That is what I am thinking.... Maybe somebody else has some other ideas. Good Luck !

Thank you. It did seem odd that it would have a hole but no stopper. Unfortunately, there is no stopper that came with it. Were miniature stoppers ever sold separately?

I am not sure if they sold them separately or not. I have had some luck in the past finding old stoppers for sale. I always assummed that the bottle broke and not the stopper, so just the stopper was sold. There may be replacements out there, or you might find one that is close to that color. One with gold coloring or a clear one would look good. I will try and post a couple of my wife's this afternoon. I mostly found mine in antique stores. Thrifty Gypsy
