I saw this at an antique shop. I've never seen one like it. Even in the state that it was in, it was beautiful and captivating. I have not purchased it, but may go back to do so. It appears the exterior was of a velvet material. At first look, it appears to be a book, I thought possibly a family Bible, but was surprised when I saw that it was a photo album. It had a beautiful latch, something that appeared to be a handle for carrying, maybe? The corners were covered with very detailed metal embellishment. There were no markings on it anywhere. Does anyone know anything about this item?
