The Baltic amber seen in this ring is one of the finest in the world. It belonged to my great-grandmother and has been in the family for three generations. Having come here from Eastern Europe when I was little, this ring is a way for me to connect with the history of my homeland and that of my family. My mother presented me with it on my seventeenth birthday and like a typical teenager I promptly lost it. Five years later, while cleaning-out my car I found it at the bottom of the glove compartment. I had of course looked for the ring in the glove compartment countless other times. For me, it's not a piece of jewelry. It's the history of my family in a foreign country.
Very Nice to hear to stories behind family jewels. Baltic Amber indeed a very beautyful product of nature and a beautyful ring and heirloom.
