She is a modern porcelain doll. These days hundreds and hundreds of companies are making these dolls, therefore a picture doesn't do much good without knowing what she is marked. It should be on the back of her neck.
I agree with Vestaswing, with out the markings is very difficult to identified. But the clothing looks to me like historical dolls. Did you look for tags on the dress?, go to the internet and type historical dolls and see if you can get anything. the attire looks to me like europe royalty?.
thanks guys, no I didn't see anything on the dress but I'll look again maybe I overlooked it but I Know there's nothing on her neck or back I did check that. Are dolls ever marked on the front? Thanks Vestaswind and Mac. I didn't get Vestaswind until I got yours, I wonder why. I'm glad I did though because what you said to look up is a good idea. Do you guys only know about dolls or other things as well, because I have a few other things listed, lol.
Will, I do deal on dolls, I'm some what expert but I do not know everything about dolls. My expertise are in Mexican sterling jewelry from the 1930-1940-1950. Some times the tags on cloths or markings on dolls are in strange places, look under the feet/shoes and every seam, legs, thighs, arms, some times the markings are inside the edge on joints and at "front of dolls", under the wig, behind the ears. etc
It's such a new doll it may not be marked if it's not on the back of the head. Sadly those that get the new porcelain to collect you lose your money right away. There is no resale market for these dolls.
I DO AGREE WITH VESTASWIND ABOUT THE NEW PORCELAIN DOLL. EVEN WITH MARKINGS SOME DO NOT HAVE NO RESALE VALUE. I HAD A NEW DOLL MADE IN 1980's BY FAMOUS MAKER AT A COST OF $295.00 . I RESOLD THE DOLL AT AN AUCTION AND ONLY GOT $24.95. SO I DO NOT PURCHASE ANY MORE THE NEW PORCELAIN DOLLS, LESSON LEARNED, BUT IF YOU LIKE/COLLECT THE NEW DOLLS BUY-THEM.
